Modern Coastal Elegance at Island Art & Taste
Setting the Scene for a Modern Destination Wedding in Athens
Anna and Sam knew exactly what they wanted from the jump: breathtaking ocean views paired with an unforgettable party. When they decided to travel from abroad to celebrate with 90 of their closest friends and family, an Athens Riviera wedding was the natural choice.
We helped them lock in the iconic Gallery venue at Island Art & Taste—a highly sought-after estate that feels like your own private cliffside oasis. To keep the morning completely stress-free, we coordinated all the behind-the-scenes travel allowing the couple to just pop the prosecco and enjoy getting ready with their wedding party.
A Deeply Personal Symbolic Wedding Ceremony in Athens
The ceremony aesthetic was all about framing—not blocking—that insane Aegean Sea backdrop. Instead of a heavy traditional arch, we designed two organic, freestanding floral pillars that felt fresh and modern.
The energy shifted to pure romance as a live violinist played "Turning Page" and Anna walked down the aisle with her father. Officiated by Sam’s father, the symbolic wedding ceremonywas equal parts emotional and deeply personal. The moment they said "I do," the mood instantly flipped to celebration mode with Natalie Cole’s "This Will Be," leading everyone straight to a chic champagne tower pour to kick off cocktail hour.
Crisp Styling and a High-Energy Reception
For this Island Art and Taste wedding, the design direction was all about clean, effortless elegance. We leaned into crisp white ribbons, modern glass vases, and warm candlelight. Instead of towering centerpieces that block conversation, we anchored the dining space with lush, floor-level floral arrangements bursting with fresh blooms.
A custom-designed seating chart guided guests to their tables, while a printed mirror welcome sign gave everyone the perfect excuse to snap a stylish, interactive selfie before dinner.
Dinner, Drinks, and Dancing Under the Stars
If there’s one thing Anna and Sam prioritized, it was the guest experience. A live saxophonist brought an incredible, vibrant energy to cocktail hour that carried right through the four-course dinner. The couple made a grand, high-energy entrance to ABBA's "Gimme Gimme," setting a euphoric tone for the rest of the night.
After touching speeches from the Best Man, Father of the Bride, and the Groom, Anna and Sam shared a beautiful first dance to Michael Leah’s "The Way I Love You." From there, the saxophonist and DJ teamed up to keep the dance floor packed until the early hours of the morning. It was the ultimate Athens Riviera wedding experience—effortless, stylish, and wildly fun.
