A Modern Chic Wedding at Island Art & Taste
Morning Preparations in the Heart of Athens
Every wedding we plan has its own heartbeat. For Noemie and Earl, their day unfolded like a symphony — blending Filipino Catholic traditions, modern chic design, and joyful surprises shared with family and friends. From the quiet anticipation of the morning to the fireworks that lit up the Athenian sky, every moment reflected their love and personality.
The day began in the city center, where the bridal party gathered at a stylish apartment near Syntagma Square. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of excitement in the air — laughter, music, and the happy chaos that comes with getting ready for a wedding.
At 10:15, photographer CJ Rosales joined the group, capturing candid shots of hair, makeup, and final touches. These behind-the-scenes moments always carry so much emotion: the bride surrounded by her closest friends, the quiet reflection before the day begins, and the smiles that only grow bigger as the ceremony approaches.
While the bridal party was preparing, our team was already on the move. By midday, we were at the Holy Catholic Cathedral of Saint Denis the Areopagite, carefully decorating the church aisle with baby breath bouquets tied with terracotta ribbons. These subtle, romantic details set the tone for the ceremony while keeping the atmosphere timeless and elegant.
We also delivered the floral arrangements that our DIY lab had lovingly prepared: a stunning bridal bouquet of white laceleaf flowers, calla lilies, and peonies; eight bridesmaids’ bouquets made from singular calla lilies; two boutonnières for the groom and best man; and delicate bouquets for the flower girls. These custom floral arrangements were designed to match the couple’s vision of a modern chic wedding, blending simplicity with refinement.
A Ceremony Steeped in Tradition
Guests began arriving just before 12:30. The bride arrived a bit later, radiant and calm, ready to walk down the aisle. The processional unfolded beautifully — from the choir and piano music to the flower girls, sponsors, and bridal party making their entrances.
The Filipino Catholic ceremony was rich with symbolism. The exchange of vows and rings was followed by the traditional Filipino wedding symbols: the candle, veil, cord, and coins, each representing unity, faith, and prosperity. These rituals made the ceremony deeply personal and meaningful.
By 14:20, the couple received their final blessing and were presented as husband and wife. The recessional was filled with joy, with bubble guns adding a playful touch as Noemie and Earl walked hand in hand out of the cathedral.
After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a photo session at the historic Academy of Athens before heading toward the Riviera.
This golden hour session was one of the highlights of the day. The soft evening light bathed the couple in a warm glow, perfectly captured by CJ Rosales, while videographer Anton Yasirov worked quietly in the background, filming every tender look and laugh. These timeless images are the kind that couples will treasure for a lifetime.

Transforming the Venue: Our DIY Touch
While Noemie and Earl were capturing their portraits, our team was hard at work at Island Athens Resort. From early afternoon, we had been setting up the reception space to reflect the couple’s modern chic style.
Every detail was carefully thought out:
The ring for a drink wall, which doubled as a fun interactive feature.
A custom-printed seating chart on white fabric, guiding guests to their places.
The cake table, beautifully dressed with floral arrangements, a champagne tower, and a three-tier wedding cake decorated with delicate white flowers.
Ten guest tables, styled with white tablecloths, menus, candles, beige stones, terracotta scarves, and floral centerpieces.
The bridal table, a focal point of the reception, draped in flowing white fabric and decorated with five calla lily bouquets.
A welcoming “Welcome to Our Wedding” sign, printed on fabric to tie the design together.
At 18:00, guests began arriving at the venue, welcomed refreshing summer passion cocktail served at the ring for a drink wall. High tables were arranged for the cocktail hour, where guests mingled, sipped drinks, and enjoyed appetizers as the evening breeze rolled in from the sea.
Entertainment started early with live performances, as friends of the couple sang heartfelt songs. Three special performances in a row created an atmosphere of intimacy and joy — a prelude to the vibrant evening ahead.
Later, guests checked the seating chart and made their way to their tables, buzzing with excitement for the newlyweds’ grand entrance.
At 19:15, the bridal party made their entrance, setting the stage for the big moment. Just a few minutes later, Noemie and Earl walked into the reception to a wave of cheers and applause, as guests waved terracotta scarves in unison — a lively, personal touch that made their entrance unforgettable.
The evening unfolded with speeches and blessings. The maid of honor and best man shared heartfelt words. Later, the parents of both bride and groom offered moving speeches that reflected the joy and pride of seeing their children embark on a new journey together.
Dinner, catered by Dipnosofistirion catering, was served at 20:00, offering guests a culinary experience that perfectly complemented the evening’s elegance.
The Reception Begins

From Bouquets to Fireworks
By 21:00, the reception was buzzing with energy. Guests participated in games and interactive moments, guided by the MC, Maureen, who brought laughter and engagement to the floor.
The photo booth provided by Picabooth quickly became a guest favorite — friends and family lined up to capture playful snapshots, leaving behind keepsakes that perfectly reflected the joy of the night. These candid photos added another layer of fun to the evening, complementing the more formal portraits captured earlier in the day.
The dances that followed were unforgettable. The father-daughter and mother-son dances were emotional highlights, leading into the cake cutting and champagne toast.
Noemie and Earl gave a heartfelt thank-you speech before beginning their first dance as husband and wife.
The evening continued with a bouquet toss and garter toss, playful traditions that kept the energy alive. At 22:05, three of the couple’s friends surprised everyone with a breakdance performance that had the crowd cheering.
This led into a lively group photo on the dance floor, bringing all guests together in a joyful moment of unity.
And then, as the night deepened, the party truly began. DJ Anna Maria, supported by Long Play’s sound and lighting team, kept the dance floor alive. Guests enjoyed the open bar, the music, and the electric energy that only a wedding celebration can bring.
The highlight came with a stunning fireworks display, lighting up the Riviera sky and reflecting on the water — the perfect grand finale to a perfect day.
A Celebration to Remember
Noemie and Earl’s wedding was everything a destination wedding in Greece should be: heartfelt, stylish, and filled with unforgettable moments. From the Filipino Catholic ceremony at Saint Denis to the golden hour portraits, from the custom floral arrangements and DIY décor to the heartfelt speeches, surprise performances, and fireworks — every detail came together to create a day that was uniquely theirs.
This celebration reminded us once again why we love what we do: telling love stories through experiences, details, and moments that last a lifetime.
